On November 29, 2013, the Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation launched its "21 Campaign" in celebration of Dougie, Jr's 21st birthday.  The goals of the campaign are to raise funds and awareness of the many adults living with autism and the unique challenges they face.

• More than 500,000 children with autism will reach adulthood within the next ten years.
  
• Adults with autism are often left without any government-mandated support.
  
• One in three young adults with autism has no paid job experience, college or technical schooling nearly seven years after high school graduation.
  
• The unemployment rate for adults on the spectrum is estimated to be over 80%

Those numbers are just not acceptable to us. That's why this year we've also been supporting job coaching, education and training for people on the autism spectrum to help them meet those challenges. These learned skills will help people live happier and more productive lives.

We can't do it without you.  So many more people living with autism need the critical difference that only together we can make.
